Whew! What a week! Can you believe I started on this page on tuesday?

I figure that if I really want to get Fred's comic off the ground I needed to put in more hours on the comic itself rather than just a few character profiles. Therefore, I give to you page 2! One can start to see a little more about Fred's character as well as the kooky predicament he has just found himself in.

Oh, and as a quick quiz, I ask you to tell me what species the fellow in the foreground of panel 4 is. I was going for something specific and fairly obvious, but so far the type of animal he is has vexed a lot of people. It's unsettling to think I really missed the mark, but then again I'm simply curious.

Ok, you use of color is looking more and more amazing everytime you post art. And on top of that your attention to detail is inspireing .Looks great! And I like how you use so many unique animals. Plus I like the way you depict everyday actions like the brushing of the teeth and combing of fur (lord knows how you pulled the look of that off). GREAT job. When and/or where will we get to see this series?

No, hippo is quite right. I'm relieved that so many folks online recognize him immediately as a hippo. The first folks I showed it to thought he was a pit bull!
